I came to the Technology industry through communications—having contracted to create and publish technical instruction and marketing content for several IT and Aerospace companies in the public and private sector.  I founded and operated my own company for over eight years before taking a position at a financial services company where I helped take that company public and participated in a series of acquisitions.

I graduated with a degree in Communication Studies from Arizona State University and have been published and presented internationally on a variety of topics, including: economics, content creation and delivery, customer service, communications, and cloud computing.

Personal Stuff
I have been married to my beautiful wife Ellen for 23 years.  I love fine food and wine and am a musician (bass).  To say that I am a fan of Ray Charles is an understatement.  My music tastes are Blues, Jazz (except fusion), and Rock with a leaning towards Funk these days.

Technology intrigues me–especially as technology interacts with humans and human nature and how economic forces drive technology (and vice versa).  I read WAY too much, love data analysis, and–when a topic catches me–will dig deep and contribute to the canon by writing out what I have learned and deduced.

    • Finding writers is easy … finding good writers hard … finding great writers is darn near impossible. :-)

      This is especially true today as we have so many outlets for writing (blogs, articles, etc.). I have no secrets on finding good ones. The best starting point, in my opnion, is to find someone whose writing you like and see if they are willing to contribute more to your site. It will take a great deal of time, but likely worth the effort and wait.

    • I require that all comments get approved prior to them being published on the site. Indeed, most comments are spam. I have to delete several messages a day because they are spam. But I do not want my blog or site cluttered with so much basura. :-)

      You can find the setting to require all posts to be approved prior to posting in your WordPress dachboard.
